Regina is the capital city of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The city is the second-largest in the province, after Saskatoon, and is a commercial centre for southern Saskatchewan. Regina has a city population of 226,404, and a metropolitan area population of 249,217. It is governed by Regina City Council. The city is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Sherwood No. 159.
The focus of Regina is Wascana Centre, a parklike development around Wascana Lake (an artificial widening of Wascana Creek) that includes some of the most important civic buildings, including the domed Legislative Building, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, the Mackenzie Art Gallery, the Diefenbaker Homestead. Regina is all so home to the Saskatchewan CFL Roughriders, RCMP Training academy, University of Regina, and Saskpoly Tech. A great place to call Home!!!
